Terms of Service

LEffective Date: June 17, 2026

By booking an appointment or utilizing the services of Georgia Notary Services (“we,” “us,” “our”), you agree to the following terms and conditions.

1. Scope of Services

Georgia Notary Services provides professional mobile notary, apostille facilitation, and loan signing assistance. We act as an impartial third party to verify the identity of signers and witness the execution of documents.

  • No Legal Advice: Our notaries are not attorneys. We are not authorized to provide legal advice, draft documents, or interpret the legal implications of any paperwork. Please consult with an attorney for legal guidance.

2. Appointment & Scheduling

  • Identity Verification: All signers must present a valid, government-issued photo ID (e.g., driver’s license, passport) at the time of the appointment. We reserve the right to refuse service if valid identification cannot be provided.
  • Presence & Awareness: All signers must be physically present and demonstrate the mental capacity to understand the documents being signed.
  • Document Readiness: You are responsible for ensuring your documents are complete and ready for signature. We do not provide printing or document preparation services unless previously agreed upon.

3. Fees & Payment

  • Pricing: Our fees are based on the type of notarial act, travel distance, and appointment time. A quote will be provided at the time of booking.
  • Payment Terms: Payment is due in full at the time of service unless other arrangements (such as escrow or corporate billing) are confirmed in writing.
  • Overtime: If an appointment exceeds the allotted time due to signer delays, additional fees may apply.

4. Cancellation & No-Show Policy

We understand that schedules change. To respect the time of our staff and other clients:

  • Cancellations: Cancellations made at least 2 hours before the scheduled appointment are free of charge.
  • Late Cancellations/No-Shows: Appointments canceled within 2 hours of the scheduled time or cases where the signer is a “no-show” will be subject to a cancellation/service fee of $50.

5. Limitation of Liability

  • While we strive for accuracy, Georgia Notary Services is not liable for any delays, document rejections by receiving agencies, or losses resulting from the use of our services.
  • Our liability is strictly limited to the amount of the service fee paid for the specific appointment in question.

6. Refusal of Service

We reserve the right to refuse service for any reason, including but not limited to:

  • Suspected fraud or inability to verify signer identity.
  • Unsafe conditions at the service location.
  • Behavior that violates our professional standards or local/state laws.

7. Confidentiality

We maintain the confidentiality of all documents handled during our appointments, subject to the requirements of Georgia state law and professional notary standards.
